Award-Winning Tasmanian Chardonnay & Pinot Noir
2018 Tertini Tasmanian Chardonnay & 2021 Tertini Tasmanian Pinot Noir
The two noble varietals of Burgundy reach impressive heights in Tasmania with these fine examples from Tertini. The fruit for both comes from the pristine environment and rich, ancient soils of the Coal River Valley, just north of Hobart. With long, sun-filled days, low rainfall and cool breezes from the Tasman Sea, Tertini's Marengo Farm provides ideal growing conditions for premium cool climate wines.
2018 Tertini Tasmanian Chardonnay - Naturally fermented and matured on lees for 10 months before bottling, the Chardonnay is a delicate balance of citrus flavour, subtle toastiness and crisp acidity. Made without malolactic fermentation or battonage, this is a modern style of Chardonnay, with a rounded texture from time in French oak. Top Gold, 2019 International Cool Climate Wine Show; 94 Pts, James Halliday Wine Companion.
2021 Tertini Tasmanian Pinot Noir - The 2021 Pinot Noir vintage in Southern Tasmania was very high in quality with excellent flavour and acidity. Vibrant aromas of red and black cherries weave through a complex array of red fruits and spice. Fine tannins and a clean acid line provide length on the finish. (Tertini's 2018 Tasmanian Pinot Noir won the Trophy for 'Best Pinot Noir' in the 2019 Australian Pinot Noir Challenge.)
