2020 Tenute Baldo Figlio della Luna Bianco di Torgiano DOC
The 'Figlio della Luna' (Son of the Moon) Bianco di Torgiano is a unique blend of Trebbiano, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc from the rolling hills of Umbria, which is just north of Rome and next door to Tuscany.
The fruit is hand-picked at night before being fermented in stainless steel. The wine spends a further 5 months on lees to develop texture and complexity.
In the glass, the wine is a straw colour with golden hues and aromas of tropical fruits, lime, jasmine and wildflower. The wine is round and well-balanced, with ample texture and fresh acidity. An ideal match for white fish, shellfish, salads, and poultry.
