The 2018 Tenute Baldo Rosso di Torgiano Riserva DOCG is a distinctive blend of Italy's most ubiquitous native grape, Sangiovese, enhanced by the addition of two international varietals - Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The best fruit from the vineyard is carefully hand selected and undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, followed by two years in French oak and further maturation for another year in bottle. On the nose, wild berries and plums mingle with aromatic herbs, light oak, cinnamon and cocoa. The palate shows intense flavour and great structure with a long finish. An ideal match for roast and grilled meats, stews, ragout or hearty mushroom dishes.
