2020 Larry Cherubino 'Uovo'

Translating to egg in Italian, the name Uovo links to the usage of Roman-style amphora concrete tanks for the production of this range of wine. The egg-shaped amphora creates a vortex where the lees are continuously forced upwards by an internal current. The effect of circulation inside the amphora adds depth, volume and texture to the wine. The 2020 vintage exhibits notes of stone fruit, lemon and ginger with a chalky textured finish and a balanced, lingering acidity.
