This masterclass will celebrate The Restaurant Pendolino’s first trip back to Italy after three long years. And what better way to go than a rediscovery of one of Italy’s most quintessential food and wine regions - Tuscany. Long celebrated for its dedication to quality winemaking, Tuscany is also the historical birthplace of what is now internationally defined as super premium extra virgin olive oil…and the region continues to produce some of the most highly regarded extra virgin olive oils in the world.
Enjoy an informative and intimate masterclass with Pendolino Head Sommelier Ben Woodward and Chef Proprietor Nino Zoccali, as they take participants through a wine, olive oil and food journey profiling this important region. The class will feature boutique wineries and olive oil producers from the most key appellations of Tuscany. Many wines presented at this event will be on show for the first time ever in Australia and will be available for purchase en primeur on the night, ahead of official shipment arrival and formal release in Australia. Wine presentation will be accompanied by canapes made using olive oils presented on the night, pairing wines with canape tastings of traditional dishes from each of the Tuscan sub-regions.
